After months of anticipation and about 5 delays, the heart-throb of the ps2 is finally coming out. Yes, a week from this saturday it will finally be released into stores (April 1, 2006).
A few of the new worlds include exploring the seas of Pirates of the Caribbean, diving into the wacky world of Chicken Little, The breathtaking lands of Mulan, and a few returning favorites including Traverse Town and the Colosseum of course.
Most of the Final Fantasy characters have returned as well. New Recruits have joined including the actual Rikku (the chick from FFX not the guy from normal Kingdom Hearts...although he is still in), Yuna (from FFX and X-2), Tifa (from FF7), Auron (from FFX), and even the gunslinging Vincent (from FF7).
Now... a few reviews have scared me into thinking they delayed this too long. A few said the story was confusing and didn't draw their attention. However, it was brought to my attention that they also stated they hadn't played the first Kingdom Hearts and they were currently gaming the JAPANESE version.
"Hmmm this is gay because its in Japanese!" '
NAW REALLY!?
A few thought the game play was a bit dumb, mostly bagging on the style of fighting, which i happen to find through the first one to be actually unique and easily controlled.
Also, one man had a problem with the difficulty. However, he failed to put it on the hardest difficulty in the first place and he refused to play it again on that difficulty.
Another commented on the lack of extras. He claims there is one optional boss battle which i find hard to believe considering how the first one went. Obviously, this gamer failed to look hard enough for the extras or didn't care to even play the game to its full extent.
Is it hard to believe that this gamer, who happened to hate everything about the game, was the only one on the board that posted anything critical about the game? A few others thought it had some flaws but they all said that KH2 was not a waste and a good follow from KH1
Final Verdict from Alfred: Obviously if you've played the first one and loved it, this game is for you and you should be obsessed. If you haven't gotten the chance to play the first one then you should either try it out or just buy the 2nd one to try it out.
